Beginner Mistakes
I started my real estate career in 2013 working in unproductive brokerages and had a really difficult time finding business. So I used the least expensive lead generation tool I could find and hand-dialed all the phone numbers. This was really frustrating because I wasn’t trained on how to prospect yet and almost all the phone numbers were bad. I wasn’t getting enough conversations and even when I did get someone on the phone I still didn’t know what to say.
New Team, New Results
Things started to change when I joined my current team at Intero and started memorizing my scripts. Then in May of 2016 my office sent me to a Mike Ferry Prospecting Clinic where I was introduced to REDX®. By then I had tried every major lead generation system and was willing to give REDX a shot. I wanted to see if it could help me reach more homeowners. I was blown away by my results: 12 listing appointments in two days of prospecting (listed five).


Steady Appointments
Over the next three months my career took off as I listed seven more homes. I had my system down. Almost every morning I called Expireds and FSBOs just like the other top producers, but most of my success came from using GeoLeads. GeoLeads made it really easy to call around Just-Listed / Just-Sold properties, prospect any neighborhood, get referrals, and invite people to my open houses.
The Payoff
All together, I did 12 transactions in 2016 and 18 transactions in 2017 while only working eight months each year! Keep in mind my median price point in Northridge is over $700,000 — you can do the math on that. The leads have been amazing. I went from being frustrated, barely scraping by, to listing more properties than I thought possible while only working for ⅔ of the year.
